Parker, CO – April 18, 2013- Make your plans to compete at High Prairie Dressage I, II and III, part of the 2013 season at the Colorado Horse Park. Produced by Colorado Horse Park and managed by Glenda McElroy, High Prairie Dressage consists of three one-day shows that run from Friday, May 31-Sunday, June 2. Entries are due by May 10, 2013.

Expect great competition and a full range of divisions, including amateur, masters, juniors, young riders and open. Classes span Training Level through Grand Prix, offering horses and riders at all levels a chance to compete. High Prairie Dressage features special USEF qualifying classes for the North American Junior and Young Rider Dressage Championships, the Markel/USEF Young and Developing Horse Dressage National Championships, the USEF Brentina Cup, and the USEF National Pony Rider Championship.

“One very unique thing about the Colorado Horse Park is its size,” said Glenda McElroy from Cornerstone Event Management. “The dressage show is being held with a Three Day Event CCI* and a local hunter/jumper show on the same weekend.  Because it is such a large facility these three events work very well together and give the spectators a unique opportunity to see three different equestrian sports on the same weekend.”

A $750-plus add back “Rising Star” Challenge is offered for 4-, 5-, and 6-year-old horses competing. Click here for more details on this great opportunity.  Plus, a Great American Insurance Group/USDF Sport Horse Breed Show will be held on Saturday June 1.

“We hold this class at both High Prairie Dressage and Dressage in the Rockies to encourage the development and participation of young horses in the sport of dressage,” said McElroy.

High Prairie Dressage competitors and attendees will benefit from some significant improvements to the beautiful Colorado Horse Park. Top-notch European GGT footing has been added to many of the rings, new lunging pads were built, a 16,000 square foot party pavilion was added, the sound system was updated and brand new turn-out paddocks were added.
